IEC 61439 is the standard for low voltage switchgear and controlgear assemblies and replaces IEC 60439 which will be withdrawn in 2014. We recommend to our customers that they familiarise themselves with new standards IEC 61439-1 and IEC 61439-2, copies of which are available for purchase from the IEC website.
