CLIMATIC TESTING

Climatic testing is performed on products and materials by applying weather and/or environmental stresses that products and materials undergo in their real-life applications. Our ability to control these factors can also be used to create specialised and abnormal conditions to prove specific requirements.

Our climatic capabilities:

  • -40°C to +180°C without humidity
  • +10°C to 95°C with humidity (10-98% relative humidity)

Under all conditions we are able to test:

  • electrical equipment while on load
  • heat-dissipating material or equipment
  • non-heat-dissipating material or equipment

Individual product standards often set the conditions of testing. If you need to put your product through specific proving, our highly experienced test engineers will work with you to create conditions and cycle patterns to meet your individual requirements.

Climatic testing can also be used as a conditioning process. Assessment tests are performed on pre- and post- stressed samples. The assessment testing proves a particular property of your product or material.

Some of these tests we can carry out are:

  • Mechanical impact testing
  • Tensile/flexural/compression testing
  • Charpy and Izod testing
  • Dielectric testing
  • Cross cut adhesion or cross hatch testing
  • Colour fastness or light fastness
