INGRESS PROTECTION (IP) TESTING

Ingress Protection, or more correctly International Protection, testing is performed on casing and enclosures. It is used to assess the degree of protection the casing or enclosure provides against penetration by solid objects and liquids.

The IP code consists of the letters IP followed by two digits, the first representing solid objects (body parts, dust etc.) and the second representing liquids.
At kA Testing Facility, we offer IP testing up to IP66.

The requirements for particular IP ratings are set out in the relevant standards. If you need to put your product through specific proving or R&D testing, our highly experienced test engineers will work with you to meet your requirements.
