TENSILE, FLEXURAL AND COMPRESSION TESTING
Tensile, flexural and compression testing is performed on products and materials. It assesses their reaction to forces being applied via pulling, bending and crushing. During the test, information such as break strength, elongation and elasticity is collected and summarised.
Appropriate tensile, flexural and compression values are often set by individual product standards. Even if they are not, there can be commercial advantages in you publishing the strength of your product. You may also have specific applications that require specific proving. In either case, our highly experienced test engineers will work with you to select the most appropriate test methodology.
Product standards and end user requirements are more often than not proven using brand new products or materials. You may need to prove that your product maintains its strength and durability after a period of ageing or exposure to weather. We can complement standard tensile, flexural and compression testing with conditioning to simulate real-life situations.
