TORSIONAL, STATIC LOAD AND SHOCK LOAD
Torsional testing is performed on products and materials. It is used to assess the behaviour of the part or material when twisted. Depending on what you want to prove or observe, measurements such as shear strength, elasticity and fatigue life can be taken.
Our trellis frame test rig is fully reconfigurable to allow for the size of your product. These tests are often performed on enclosures, street furniture or installations in areas the general public have access to. They simulate accidental damage or vandalism.
The frame can also be used to perform shock load and static load testing using sand bag pendulums or weights.
Product standards and end user requirements are often proven using brand new products or materials. You may need to prove that your product maintains its strength and durability after a period of ageing or exposure to weather. We can carry out these mechanical tests after a period of accelerated conditioning to simulate real-life situations.
